The first ever United Way of Beaver County Purse Bingo, presented by Range Resources, was a huge success. Approximately 120 guests filled the room at Monaca Turners hoping to win one of the 14 beautiful designer purses that were slated as Bingo prizes. But even if an attendee didn’t win at Bingo, there were many other ways to go home with a new or “new to you” purse at this event. Attendees had chances to win at the Rubber Ducky Reverse Raffle table, the raffle basket table, the Card Game table, and they could bid on purses in the Silent Auction. We also had a $5, $10, and $15 table – so if you didn’t win, you could still purchase a purse to take home.
The event raised almost $14,000 which will go toward the 2023/2024 Campaign. Campaign money allows the United Way of Beaver County to fund non-profit organizations throughout Beaver County that serve people in poverty, or those whose paychecks don’t cover the essentials that most of us take for granted.
