BEAVER COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM
Beaver Area Memorial Library
Friends of the Library group, which supports the library through fundraising and special projects, needs volunteers. Meetings are held on the last Monday of every monthh at 7:30 p.m.

Monaca Public Library
Volunteers are welcome Monday 1:30 to 7, Tuesday 10:30 to 6, Wednesday 1:30 to 7, Thursday 1:30 to 6, Friday 1:30 to 5, and Saturday 10:30 to 4. All volunteers will receive training.
Circulation Desk: Good with people, interact with public, will be trained to check items in/out, answer basic information/reference questions.
Shelving Books/DVDs, etc.: Detail oriented, work with book stacks making them user friendly and organized for use by our community members.
Friends Group Fundraising activities/events: Monaca Public Library is in need of volunteers to assist with multiple fundraisers each year – help with set-up and clean-up, registration, ticket sales, etc. Ex: annual used book sale, other events.
Book processing/cataloging: applying mylar plastic covers to books, prepare spine labels, apply labels, etc.
Mailing/Stuff Envelopes: Help with annual mailing by stuffing envelopes, folding, sealing envelopes, etc.
Volunteer Board Members: Looking for people with different backgrounds and skills, ideally (but not necessarily) with some passion to public libraries. There are ten board meetings per year.

LUTHERAN SERVICE SOCIETY
Meals on Wheels (MOW):
Delivery Drivers: Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 1 p.m. Background checks are required, and provided at no cost to volunteer. Call (724) 774-0292.
Meal Service: Assisting kitchen staff with preparation, serving, and cleanup of our daily lunch service Monday - Friday from10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Volunteers choose days and times within the range that work best for them.
Center at the Mall (CATM): is a senior citizen activity center for older adults 50+.
Fitness Center Monitor: Keeping an eye on members using the fitness equipment to ensure a safe environment. As needed, Monday - Friday.
Special Events: Assisting staff during the preparation or operation of various activities, programs, and fundraisers as needed.

MYASTHENIA GRAVIS ASSOCIATION OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA
Staff/support fundraising events: MGA has multiple fundraisers each year that need volunteer support to help with set-up and clean-up, registration, ticket sales, etc.
Volunteer Board Members: Looking for people with different backgrounds and skills, ideally (but not necessarily) with some connections to myasthenia gravis. There are three board meetings per year (held virtually), and one in-person annual meeting.

NEIGHBORHOOD NORTH MUSEUM OF PLAY
Quarterly Deep Cleaning: Thursdays 8 a.m. - 10 a.m. Dates TBD. Cleaning the museum includes wiping down exhibits, cleaning windows, vacuuming, cleaning out and reorganizing maker space cubbies.
Weeding the Garden: 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. June 14 & 28; July 12, 26; August 9, 23; September 6, 20
Fall Garden Clean-Up: 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. November 1. Close up the garden for winter by weeding, cleaning up annual beds and planting any new plants.
Craft Prep Assistant: 1 time per month, Monday or Tuesday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Involves cutting, hot gluing, sorting materials into craft kits, stapling, filling bottles, hole punching, etc.
Ongoing Opportunities: Collect books and continuously fill the Little Library.

BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF BEAVER COUNTY
Ongoing Opportunities: Big Brothers and Big Sisters needed. Play sports together. Enjoy a quiet walk or go hiking at Brush Creek Park. Maybe go boating or fishing at Raccoon State Park. Set out on a quest to discover who makes the best steak salad or ice cream sundae in the county! Attend agency-sponsored activities offered at no cost such as the Christmas party, the Summer Bash or STEAM events. Whatever the activity, your friendship and time with your Little will have a life-changing impact.

Matches between Bigs and Littles are made based on compatibility, shared interests, geographic convenience and are supported by staff.
Volunteers in our community mentoring program must meet the following requirements:
- 18 years old and older
- Have a valid driver’s license & access to insured, reliable transportation
- Reside in Beaver County or nearby
- Complete an application which includes references, police check, clearances, orientation, and interview.
- Agree to see the assigned child on a weekly or semi-weekly basis for at least 18 months.
